Carmen - The Tobacco Factory
Marianne & I went to the University. This used to be a tobacco factory, and is the place where Carmen (the gypsy about whom the opera is) used to work. The place was still being used as a tobacco factory in the 40s.
We are fortunate that there is a production of Carmen on at the moment, in one of the open courtyards at the factory itself. So we'll definitely go along to that. The weather has cleared up a bit and if it stays clear we might go tonight otherwise we may have to wait until tomorrow.
Really exciting and looking forward to it.
