Castilblanco to Almaden de la Plata - the difficult third day

Set off at 6.30am, first to go. Some shops and bars were open in the town. Long, long walk along the road. Lots of dogs barking behind fences in the first kms. Traffic fairly light. Long hill at about 12 km. Finally got to El Berrocal about 11am. Had a rest, chanGed my socks, then Gerry and Yuri appeared along the road. I walked on with Gerry and new hope in my heart. Took our shoes off and had a paddle in the river, Renato and later, Yuri passed us. Great walk through the park, through gates along a river valley, like walking through someone's farm. The final stage is a very steep track up a very big hill. Yuri caught up with us again, great views at the top. The guide books talk about the difficult track down, but it is a pleasure after the difficult walk up. Took a while to find the albergue but we got there after asking a few locals. Single room albergue, pretty full. Several people staying in rooms next to a bar. Found out quite a few people had got a taxi from castilblanco to the El Berrocal entrance.
